I'm sending this pic individual as it has a great story behind it. This
pic. was taken by Chuck Harris, Bn. photographer.
Chuck was with A 1/5, 1st Plt. He got a rear job as Bn. photographer and
while covering a fire fight on LZ. Jerry,
Chuck was hit by a gook mortar. Chuck lost an eye and has a titanium
shoulder socket. But you would never know it to see him. An other strange
fact this pic. was in his pocket when he was hit, if you look close you can
see where shrapnel went through the picture. Truly a miracle Chuck survived
with a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. This pic. is also in my mind a piece
of history
