Steve Hassett from late April or early May 67 when we were guarding Bon Song bridge just before we went north to relieve the Marines near Duc Pho and is PG-13 for consumption of alcohol in an area frequented by prostitutes.  This is a companion to the photo of Dale leaning on his rifle with a bottle of Vietnamese beer that I had in the slide show and he probably took it just before or after I took the one of him.  I think the man sitting just to the left of me facing the camera is Wild Bill. He shows in the photo of Dale too and someone at the reunion said they thought it was Wild Bill's assistant gunner Smitty, but I think that's Smitty at the end of the bench talking to the coke girl.  He doesn't show in the shot of Dale. This would have been about 3 weeks before Smitty was hit when we were strafed.  The kid just under my elbow is probably getting ready to pick my pocket.  Dale and I may have been drinking to celebrate the birth of Dave's first child or maybe we were just drinking because Top Fowler was on one of his R & R's and we could get away with it.
