Robert Pals in the foreground, other members of 2nd PLT up ahead.  The bunker complexes were huge, the trail network was elaborate with bamboo sidewalks in wet areas, bicycle repair shops, hospitals, print shops..... Robert was later wounded on May 16th, the day Walter Huffman and two men from 3rd PLT were KIA.
